Celebrating Visual Arts
Painter and curator, Judy Rogers, is our Artist in Residence currently in Visual Arts. Judy has participated in many significant International Arts events across the globe, and we warmly welcome her while she is here at Aquinas College working with our Year 11 and 12 students.
About the Artist
Hungarian-born Rogers moved to Australia in 1995. She has had 19 solo shows in Australia and solo exhibitions in Budapest (2016) and St Petersburg (2018).
She has been studying and painting the unique Western Australian flora in the last 6 years and had 5 solo exhibitions on the subject. In the 18th Asian Arts Biennale and in the China G20 International Exhibition also, she participated with botanical art installations depicting Western Australian flora. Her solo exhibition ‘Romancing Botany’ was shown in four different galleries in WA (Victoria Park, Nedlands, York and Mandoon). Her last solo exhibition ‘Hybrid’ was shown last year in Linton and Kay Galleries.
Recently her commissioned botanical work was installed at the City of Melville Civic Centre.
