Curtin Fine Art Conference - Aquinas College

Last week our Year 11 & 12 ATAR art students visited Curtin for the Fine Art Conference where they participated in a range of workshops and a lecture by Curtin Academics.

They started the day with a lecture by Dr Kieren Broadhurst and then spent the rest of the day in the studio doing a life drawing workshop with Tori Benz, and a painting workshop with Dr Kevin Robertson. The students got a taste of what the Visual Arts course is like at Curtin and experienced Visual arts workshops at a tertiary level.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Australia as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land of our schools. We are inspired and nurtured by their wisdom, spirituality and experience. We commit ourselves to actively work alongside them for reconciliation and justice. We pay our respects to the Elders; past, present and future. As we take our next step we remember the first footsteps taken on this sacred land.
