Demolition of Br NN Wilson Boathouse

Demolition day finally arrived for the Br NN Wilson Boathouse today.

After more than 12 months of negotiating with various government departments, the Boatshed Renewal Project is underway.

Whilst the timing of the project is not ideal, this is a project the College committed to undertaking and funding more than two years ago.

The Br NN Wilson Boathouse has been a fixture on the Canning River foreshore for 50 years faithfully serving as the training base for Aquinas College Rowing.

Although it will be missed, we are excited about the new facility that will be constructed and the future of Aquinas Rowing.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples of Australia as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land of our schools. We are inspired and nurtured by their wisdom, spirituality and experience. We commit ourselves to actively work alongside them for reconciliation and justice. We pay our respects to the Elders; past, present and future. As we take our next step we remember the first footsteps taken on this sacred land.
