House Spirit Shines

It was perfect weather for the House Swimming Carnivals last week, with our Junior, Middle and Senior School swimmers producing some sensational times in the Aquinas College pool.

Every effort counted towards building up the final tallies at the three events, with even House spirit and support in the form of cheering and clapping attracting points towards the coveted swimming shields.

Competition was friendly and fierce, with the Junior School boys gaining fantastic race experience and the older students revelling in the opportunity to showcase their experience.

Parents enjoyed the atmosphere as they urged on their boys from the benches and the baristas at our Holy Grounds coffee van were kept busy supplying refreshments to our visitors and staff.

Congratulations to Prendiville House in the Senior School who are the swimming champs for 2025 with a satisfying margin of 172 points.

The Middle School result was a wonderful surprise for the boys in Bryan House, who stole the top spot from Glowrey for the first time in three years. Not so surprisingly, maybe, was the students defeating the staff relay team for the second year in a row – watch out next year because the staff will be keen to make amends!
