Extended Day
One of the strengths of Aquinas is our willingness and ability to adapt to changing circumstances. We demonstrated that during the COVID-19 pandemic and have taken it even further through the introduction of our Extended Day.

At Aquinas, we recognise that the standard workday doesn’t match school hours and, with both parents often working, it can be difficult to either drop your son to school or pick him up. So instead of forcing you to cater to our needs, our Extended Day means we can cater to yours.
My son absolutely loves Challenge Club, as well as the other two clubs he has attended this Term. What a great offering this is. As a full-time working parent the JS clubs are making life manageable for me and making school so enjoyable for my son, so thank you.- Cathy | Junior School Parent
Junior School students can be dropped at school from 7:30 am and attend a variety of before school clubs on offer. At 8:10 am, the playground opens and students are supervised by our staff. In the afternoon, students can choose from a number of exciting and educational clubs, activities and classes until 4:30 pm. They are then welcome to remain in the Junior School completing homework, reading or engaging with other students until 5.30 pm in our After School Club.
We are delighted to offer a range of opportunities and experiences for your sons as part of our Extended Day program. While the Before and After School Clubs can be used as needed, all other clubs require ongoing commitment and attendance for the duration of the club.
While the options available can change on a term by term basis, some of our more popular clubs include cooking, dance, robotics, homework, rock band, lego, STEM, Chinese and podcasting.
Middle School students enjoy many sporting opportunities before and after school, as well as a Monday afternoon co-curricular program where students are able to engage in various arts/technology based programs instead of sport if they so choose. The Redmond Library is open before and after school to allow boys access to teachers, resources and quiet study or reading areas.
The College Library is open before and after school to allow boys access to teachers, resources and quiet study or reading areas. Senior School students also engage in sports training, access to the College weights and cardio gym and have opportunities for out of hours work and workplace learning through the Aquinas myFUTURE program.
